# Data Security & Support

## Data Security

Payroll offers the following data security measures.

### User Access & Controls

Payroll enables user-based access. This means we offer department, location, and custom attribute-based controls. This ensures that a user can only access data relevant only to their team. Know more about [user roles](/payroll/user-roles-workflows).

For example, an HRBP will only be able to access salary data of employees under their purview.

### SOC 2 Compliant

Payroll is SOC 2 compliant. This certification signifies our adherence to the highest standards of data security, availability, and confidentiality.

### Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

To ensure security beyond passwords, Payroll incorporates Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). This additional layer of authentication ensures that unauthorised individuals are barred from accessing your accounts.

### Single Sign-On

With the Google Single Sign-On (SSO) feature on Payroll, we enhance user access efficiency and security. SSO simplifies access to Payroll through a unified login, reducing password fatigue for employees.

This not only enhances productivity but also strengthens data security by eliminating the need for multiple credentials, which ensures a hassle-free and secure user experience.
